ATOMS

Protons, Neutrons, and Elec-

trons are what make an atom.

But the darn things are so small

Can't get a good look at 'em!

Despite their tiny stature,

They're nature's building blocks.

That they're largely empty space

is nature's paradox.

THE ATMOSPHERE

That Atmosphere,

What a gas!

Light as feather,

Clear as glass.

Like a coat

Some planets wear.

H`ere on Earth

We call it air.

MATTER

To bake a cake,

you start with batter;

To make a world,

you start with matter.

Though batter is already matter,

Matter isn't only batter.

It's the spoon,

The bowl, the baking pan,

The milk, the egg,

the kitchen fan.

It's everything that fits the class

Of solid, liquid,

And/or gas.

EINSTEIN'S POEM

A POEM ABOUT EINSTEIN'S POEM

"Matter is energy, frozen,"

Was how Al Einstein proposed it.

Though he never did determine what

(or who)

Might have gone and froze'd it.
